IC660EBD020 is a GE Fanuc-made advanced and programmable module. The IC660EBD020 connects to a wide range of discrete Direct Current sensors and actuators, The electronic block is a source/sink I/O block. It comes with a total of 16 circuits. The Genius I/O IC660EBD020 block comes in two versions. Both of them can smoothly supply current to field devices. The 24/48 volts Direct Current variant of the Direct Current 16-circuit block is designed for use with 3-wire solid-state electromechanical sensors.
The other variety is the 24 volt Direct Current variant, which is designed for use with both two-wire and three-wire electromechanical and solid-state sensors. Furthermore, each of these Direct Current 16-circuit sink blocks can accept current from the field output devices. Except for the voltage ratings, these two blocks are identical. The IC660EBD020 block weighs only about 1.8 kilograms. The dimension measurement for this module is 8.83 inches x 3.56 inches x 4.42 inches. It also incorporates individual LEDs on every circuit, as well as 1500 volts of block voltage isolation.
This block also has over-temperature, field switch, and open-wire input diagnostics, as well as a customizable input time of 5 to 100 milliseconds. The IC660EBD020 block and other Genius I/O blocks require a Direct Current power current rating of 150 milliamperes on average and 300 milliamperes at maximum. The IC660EBD020 contains the electronic circuitry that is used to process the field voltage signals forwarded to the module’s channels. This electronics assembly contains the RC snubber circuits, smart switch, and Light Emitting Diode (LED) for indication of channel state. It also provided connectivity to the backplane where power is drawn and data exchange to the partner controller is implemented. The IC660EBD020 provides Sixteen (16) discrete input channels that are designed to enter ON state at input voltage signal range of 16-24 VDC at processing speed of 1.7 ms plus the configured signal delay. Conversely, the output channels are capable of generating 2 Amperes per circuit with a maximum inrush current of 10 Amperes at 10 ms duration. The total output current that the I/O block generates is 15 Amperes at 35 Degree Celsius while the maximum switching frequency is once per second. Input diagnostics available include Open wire, Overtemperature, and Failed switch detection while output diagnostics include Short circuit, Overload, No Load, failed switch, and Overtemperature. The electronics assembly has an operating temperature requirement of 0 to 60 Degree Celsius, the Storage temperature of -40 Degree Celsius to 100 Degree Celsius with relative Humidity of 5-95%, non-condensing. The IC660EBD020 operating vibration is5-10 Hz, with an acceptable displacement of up to 2” or 5.088.
