About GE Fanuc IC3600TSKB1

The IC3600TSKB1 is a component for the Mark I/Mark II series from GE. These two systems were created by General Electric for the management of gas and steam heavy-duty turbines. The MKI was released by GE in 1969. The MKII was developed and released in 1973. Both systems used the most up-to-date technology available at the time of their release and focused on creating management systems that would increase the efficiency of GE’s turbines. While the MKI and MKII have since become obsolete and are not supported by GE any longer, many facilities around the world are still using these systems to manage their turbine systems.

The IC3600TSKB1 functions as a Startup Control board. It has the majority of the components mounted on the bottom two-thirds of the board. The only components on the top one-third of the board are some of the pins in the line of right-angled pins located from the top to bottom of one long edge. This board edge is numbered.

The IC3600TSKB1 is drilled in two corners. It has seven transistors of two different designs. It has three horizontally mounted carbon composite resistors and thirteen vertically mounted carbon composite resistors. The board also has a number of diodes.

The IC3600TSKB1 is populated with a single reed relay. This is marked K1. A reed relay has an electromagnet that controls a reed switch within a glass tube. The electromagnet acts directly on this switch without requiring a connecting armature to move it.
